Home and Garden Friday - Winter Weather and Creativity Isn't Always Pretty
The past week has been very interesting. We, meaning about half the country, spent several days getting ready for a huge 'winter weather event'. North Carolina was already calling for a State of Emergency. So I was preparing for not being able to travel for a few days (that did happen), possible power outages (that didn't happen to me) and luckily, no loss of internet. It was supposed to start on Saturday afternoon, but didn't actually hit my house until late Saturday evening. I woke up Sunday morning with a patchy trace of snow. However, Sunday was supposed to be the 'bad' day, with freezing rain. I did get some freezing rain, but for the most part it messed up the roads in my area and covered the snow with a thick 'shell' of ice. When the freezing rain started on Sunday, Foxy and I were holding our breaths it didn't become heavy enough to down power lines.
